Since childhood, Asaf has immersed himself in engineering and plastic packaging at Vacupack, a leading provider of thermoforming solutions in Australia for 40 years.
With over 25 years of industry experience, he possesses exceptional business management skills and an innovative approach to manufacturing. Asaf has been instrumental in expanding Vacupack and FocusIML, particularly in strategic business development. He founded Vacupack’s design and development department and implemented ISO9001 and HACCP accreditations. Asaf’s exposure to numerous food processing plants and automation systems deepened his industry knowledge and fortified his client relationships.
Now, his focus lies in environmental sustainability, making Vacupack Australia’s leading processor of Post Consumer Recycled rPET for thermoformed food packaging.
Caitlyn Richards, Group Sustainable Sourcing Manager at Coles, oversees sustainable sourcing policies, programs and initiatives for Coles Own Brand products and packaging.
This includes initiatives across high-impact forest, land, agriculture and seafood commodities, animal welfare and sustainable packaging. Caitlyn has worked within the sustainability industry for over a decade, primarily focused on sustainable supply chains and reducing the environmental and social impacts of business. Caitlyn has extensive experience collaborating with business, industry, NGOs and advocacy groups to deliver positive environmental outcomes and purposeful communication initiatives to increase awareness and consumption of more sustainable products.
Recently, Caitlyn was named in FS Sustainability’s ESG Power 50 list, which recognises the 50 most influential corporate ESG Leaders in Australia, and featured in the Sustainable Choice Group Podcast “Food waste, plastics and responsible sourcing, how the supermarket giant tackles it all.
